No survivors after small plane crashes near General Mills plant in Georgia: Police

A smaller aircraft crashed in the lot of a Typical Mills plant in Ga soon after takeoff Thursday night, killing all aboard, authorities said.

The plane took off from the Covington Municipal Airport close to 6:45 p.m., Covington Police Department Captain Ken Malcom said through a push briefing.

Witnesses advised law enforcement it appeared that the plane, a Cessna twin-motor propeller aircraft, was owning trouble getting altitude and that it sounded like there was engine trouble.

Malcom said the airplane then all of a sudden veered and crashed into the lot of the Common Mills plant, situated about a mile from the airport. The airplane went down in an isolated region that saved tractor-trailers, some of which caught fireplace, he claimed.

There have been no survivors, Malcom claimed. It is unclear how lots of people today had been aboard the aircraft, and law enforcement are performing to figure out who the victims are, he claimed.

No one was injured on the ground, in accordance to Malcom, who noted that many lives had been potentially saved since the plane did not crash instantly into the plant.

Fire personnel was even now performing to place out the hearth at the scene many hours right after the crash.

The Nationwide Transportation Security Board claimed it is investigating the incident.
